However, analysts believe the song would not hold for long as many other songs have already reached the two-billion mark on YouTube views.
From his worldwide blockbuster ‘Gangnam Style’ to his collaboration with Snoop Dogg in the hit ‘Hangover’, Psy has undeniably become a legend. Not only were his songs the ‘hit’ but his viral dance steps for every song made the world go crazy and ultimately took the internet by storm.
His song ‘Gangnam Style’ made headlines after it reached a billion views and continued to increase throughout the years. For more than four years, it was the most viewed video on YouTube. However, Psy is finally stepping down from the throne as Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s ‘See You Again’ becomes the most viewed video on YouTube today.
The famous song from the Furious 7 soundtrack, became the all-time most-viewed video on YouTube with nearly 3 billion views today. However, analysts believe that the song ‘See You Again’ won’t hold onto the top spot for long, as many other songs have surpassed the billion-view mark, and has been increasing by the day. Between 2015 and 2016, YouTube’s music users grew 17 percent up to 1.2 billion, according to Mark Mulligan, music industry analyst at Midia Research.
“It’s pretty crazy that it impacted so many people,” Wiz Khalifa tells Billboard.
