This isn’t right in so many levels.
Domestic abuse and violence is a growing epidemic in our world today. Wives and mothers are being physically, verbally, mentally, and emotionally abused without a chance to even defend themselves. Let’s face it, men are actually physically stronger than women—and without intervention from others, physical abuse can even lead to death.
People often think of domestic violence as physical violence, such as hitting. However, domestic violence takes other forms, such as psychological, emotional, or sexual abuse. People and groups are raising awareness against domestic violence, hoping that more people would come out and report offenders.
A man is in hot water after a video showing how he slapped his pregnant wife went viral. In the video, the man, believed to be the woman’s husband, can be seen slapping her several times while they were in a heated argument. He even threatened to punch her in the face several times, and laughed every time the woman flinched.
To make things worse, he was smoking inside a small room, leaving his pregnant wife exposed to the smoke.
Though many netizens were outraged, there are a few who were sceptical about the video. They first criticized the person who recorded the video for not doing anything to stop the man from hurting his pregnant wife; they then criticized the man for physically abusing his pregnant wife; then they criticized the woman for allowing the man to do that to her, and even laugh at one point in the video.
