Netizen Bob Cornelius shared a heart-breaking post on Facebook that went viral almost immediately. He shared his experience as a father, to hopefully open the eyes of many as to how autistic children are treated at school.
On Christopher’s back-to-school night, Bob snapped a photo of his son’s latest project. Christopher’s teacher asked the class to list a few things about themselves, but it wasn’t until Bob took a second look that his heart broke in two.
Bob noticed that Christopher answered “no one” when asked who his friends were. Bob was devastated to learn that his son had no friends and was practically alone at school. As the heartbreaking truth washed over Bob, he was compelled to take to Facebook set the record straight for parents without kids on the autism spectrum.
